HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR HAIR TYPE

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR HAIR TYPE

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FRIZZY AND CURLY HAIR!

Knowing your hair will allow you to bring out its full potential. This is the best way to choose the products that will best suit your hair.

You've probably heard of 3A, 4A, 4B, 4C . If you got lost in it: rest assured because you are not the only one. In fact, you can even have multiple hair textures on your head.

The further we advance in the hair textures, from 1A to 4C, the less sebum (hair oil) will flow over the entire length of the hair because of the curls.

Frizzy hair is often dry by nature and falls into three categories: 4A, 4B and 4C.

And curly hair (very close to type 4), because of their tight curls and is more often type 3A, 3B, 3C.

But that's not the most important thing: we explain everything to you! Here are 3 things you absolutely need to know about your hair:

1. POROSITY

Their porosity: this is the ability of your hair to absorb hydration . Do the famous glass of water test to determine your porosity : low, medium or high. Very porous hair is often damaged (this can be due to straightening, dyeing, etc.) so it has great difficulty retaining moisture.

What to do with your very porous hair? No matter how much you hydrate it, it doesn't work... Your hair is starving: it quickly absorbs hydration! They become dry, fragile or even brittle again. So, we advise you to apply protein treatments, vegetable oils, shea butter to seal in hydration.

You have moderately porous hair : it's perfect (it's healthy) so don't change anything as long as you have a hair routine!

On the other hand, if your hair has low porosity : your scales are then well closed. Your hair is thirsty and has difficulty breathing. Use more clarifying shampoos to remove all product residue and reopen your scales. Also use heat to open the scales of your hair: heating cap , steam helmet or hot oils. Light vegetable oils will delight your hair!

2. DENSITY

Their density corresponds to the number of hairs you have on your head . How to know ? Very simple, if you have difficulty seeing your scalp: high density.

If it's the other way around, you have low hair density. Your allies will then be: vegetable oils, light-textured products, vitamins, masks, natural products and protective hairstyles.

3. THICKNESS

Their thickness: allows you to define the diameter of the hair (rather thin or thick ). It's quite simple: compare one of your hairs to a sewing thread.

If your hair is much thicker than a thread: you have thick hair (apply heavy oils). If it's the other way around, your hair is thin. So, we advise you: to detangle your hair with your fingers, to use treatments rich in proteins, products with a light texture, etc.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS you have just taken the first step towards adopting an effective hair routine!
